Hoover, Ala.-As many of you know, I am the biggest animal lover and last weekend, I was in absolute Heaven. I had the ultimate joy of photographing Ashley and her sweet little girl (Ella Kate) at a local barn. We spent the session surrounded by horses, dogs, a rooster, a miniature goat, and a miniature pig. Seriously, could it get any better??!!
This session was extra special because Ashely and Ella Kate are avid riders. Ashely used to own her own barn and compete. Ella Kate has been riding since she turned 1. It’s pretty amazing to watch them ride together, you can tell there’s nowhere in the world they’d rather be. Their love for horses (especially Cloud) is beautiful to witness, and I’m so thankful that I got to see it firsthand.
I hope you enjoy these images as much as we had fun creating them! Be sure to watch the video too!

Hoover, Ala.-Last weekend, I had the great pleasure of photographing one of my favorite families again. Their little bug is about to turn 2, so what better way to celebrate that than a day of laundry cart races and bubble fights?! I hope you have as much fun looking at these images as we did making them! haha

Hoover, Ala.-Well folks we are officially all settled in to the new home in Hoover. Yesterday I was doing some work on the computer and I looked over into the dining room to see this sweet little girl. She was sitting at the dining room table playing with Rex from Toy Story. I don’t know who loves this home more, me and Clint, the kiddos, or the dogs. hahaha

Hoover, Ala.-Day 21 of the 30 day photography challenge theme is micro (up close). The house was strangely quiet this afternoon. When I went into my son’s room, I figured out why. Woo hoo, he took a nap today!!!! I had to record this moment in history. hahaha

Birmingham, Ala.-Today is day 20 of the 30 day photography challenge and the theme is water. It was a scorcher today, so we had a great time cooling off in a water balloon fight. This photography challenge has been a nice distraction from the daily stresses of moving. It’s nice to just step away from the packing and planning to be creative. Since we’ve found out we were moving, I haven’t been able to take on any new business. I’m looking forward to getting settled in in Birmingham, Ala., so I can get back to normal life. I miss getting to work such amazing children and families! I am starting to book sessions for July in Ala., so if you’re interested, give me a call or shoot me an email.

Birmingham, Ala.-Day 19 of the 30 day photography challenge theme is summertime. It’s also Father’s Day so we wanted to incorporate something that we could do as a whole family. We all know that baseball is America’s favorite pastime, and it’s the epitome of Summer fun. So sing along with me: Take me out to the ball game. Take me out with the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks, I don’t care if I never get back. For let’s root, root, root for the home team. If they don’t win it’s a shame. For it’s 1, 2, 3 strikes, you’re out. At the old ball game!
